WR Antoine Wesley injured again, having MRI for quad injury

If a muscle is torn it's not too hard to tell typically. There will be knotting and lumps because the muscle will contract but not recoil to normal length because it isn't anchored. But maybe it is a small tear.

Not once Hopkin is back, but he put most of those numbers up once Hopkins went down.

I thought he had some upside and could contribute as a solid #4 this year.

He has shown some flashes and fans were hopeful he could continue to improve.

Yeah, I get it. Teams need those guys to develop. Feel bad for the kid but not really a HUGE loss to me.

He started the last 4 games of the season and put up most of those numbers. He was also only targeted in 8 games and 7 of those were when Hopkins was out. The Green Bay game was the 1 game they both were targeted in and Hopkins got hurt in that game. The two games Hopkins came back to play (weeks 13 and 14), Wesley wasn't targeted again. He started for Hopkins in weeks 15, 16, 17 and 18. Wesley also and a nice game in week 11, the week before the bye and had 5 decent to nice games. His size would have been nice these first 6 games with Hopkins out.

He's really nothing more than Hopkins back up, which would be nice to have right now.

Fun stat, just under 50% of his receptions were for 1st downs.
