The leads were brilliant. In terms of a Marvel show this felt very "introductory" like it was setting us up for something bigger.

aw man... this was the best Marvel anything in years and they cancel S2? Lame.

Crazy. It was a great show and it ended on a cliffhanger. Hopefully they pick up the threads and intro the West Coast Avengers.

I'm not surprised. I finally decided to watch based on good press, but I only got about halfway. It was just blah. Kingsley by far was the best part but couldn't carry the show.

I think (can't remember for sure) that I started to watch this a couple of months ago. Turned it after about 15, maybe even 10 minutes.

I think this show was probably just a little too much inside industry baseball for most folks. It was so much more an overcoming-Hollywood-will-kick-your-ass-no-one-believes-in-you story than a superhero story.

Very understandable.
Thats the way I took it...and honestly the only way I could relate to it.
Lots of industries require struggle in the beginning.
dude from green mile I think it was..had been living in his car for 4 months before he got that gig...and suddenly he was an "overnight success"...totally disregarding the 15 years he went hungry because he couldnt find a job, lol.
even here..this area is agriculture...about 25% of the pop here is in the business...yay food...right?? everybody eats!!
but the thing is, agriculture relies on crops and even in a good year you are lucky to get 5 solid months of work... then its a month with nothing, followed by 6 months on unemployement that only pays 300 a week...which is crap when a 1 bdrrm costs $1800 a month...then there is often a month or two after unemployment runs out before hiring starts again.
for the first few years as soon as word gets out that they are hiring you have to go re apply...as long as you were good you get priority...but you gotta get there fast...after a few years they just send you a letter telling you to report to work on June 9th or something.. but you have to build up to that...then after ten years, if you are lucky...you get hired into a year round position.
so we can all relate to the struggle...thats what made this show appealling.
IMO, it might have been better had he been doing some undercover super hero work on the side...because thats why folks watch super hero shows.
