Both games against the 49ers last season we got no pressure up the middle at all. Jimmy G was allowed to step up in the pocket & pick us apart with the TE. Hopefully Phillips gets that inside push we need against them?

my worries:
in preseason, it always seems like defenses run ahead of offenses.
the expectations for the the Card offense are very high, and fear a repeat of last years opening game where it was a slog for 3.5 quarters. I think ultimately it will be very good, but maybe not right away.

he said the same thing about how motivated he was to prove he didn’t need PEDs, then fell flat on his face without them for the majority of the season he did play.
