As they do every season, the Arizona Cardinals will face the San Francisco 49ers twice in 2026, which means taking on starting quarterback Brock Purdy again. They will face Purdy and the 49ers in Week 3 on the road and then at home in Week 18.
How has Purdy done against the Cardinals in his career? Let's have a look.
In six career games (five starts) against the Cardinals, Purdy is 5-1. He has completed 70.1% of his passes for 1,147 yards, 12 touchdowns and two interceptions. He has also rushed for a touchdown and been sacked eight times.
Purdy's first appearance against the Cardinals came in 2022 in Mexico City when he played seven offensive snaps at the end of a 38-10 win. He rushed three times and handed the ball off four times.
His other five starts went this like this:

How has Purdy done against the Cardinals in his career? Let's have a look.
Brock Purdy vs. the Cardinals

- In the final week of the 2022 season, he led the 49ers to a 38-13 win. He was 15-for-20 passing for three touchdowns.
- In Week 4 of 2023, he led the 49ers to a 35-16 win over the Cardinals. He rushed for a touchdown and completed 20-of-21 passes for 283 yards and a touchdown.
- In Week 15 of that season, the 49ers beat the Cardinals 45-29. He completed 16-of-25 passes for 242 yards and four touchdowns.
- In Week 5 of 2024, he suffered his only loss to the Cardinals. Arizona won 24-23 on a last-second field goal by Chad Ryland. Purdy had his worst game against the Cardinals, going 19-for-35 passing for 244 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He did not face the Cardinals in Week 18, as the 49ers rested him. Josh Dobbs started in his place, and the Cardinals won.
- In 2025, he was injured in the first game, but he beat the Cardinals in Week 11 41-22. He was 19-of-36 passing for 200 yards and three touchdowns.
