Wisconsin men's hockey forward Blake Montgomery signed an entry-level deal with the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday.

Montgomery is one of numerous Badgers to sign with the professional ranks following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season. Of course, the team recently finished its campaign with an improbable run to the Frozen Four national title game.

The Bowie, Maryland, native joined the program as a freshman last year. He appeared in 38 games for the Badgers, totaling nine goals and eight assists. His best performance was a two-goal output against Minnesota on Nov. 1, 2025.

Ottawa's press release notes that "Montgomery will join the Belleville Senators on an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO) contract."
