The Wisconsin Badgers' early 2027 defensive front haul already has a clear theme: size on the interior, length off the edge, and a group that looks built for Big Ten trench play. Luke Fickell's squad has stacked multiple defensive line bodies alongside a set of rangy edge prospects, giving the class a foundation up front that can shape the rest of the board.

  • David Hill, DL (four-star): Hill checks in at 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds out of Flossmoor, Illinois, giving Wisconsin a true interior frame in the middle of the class. His ranking and build stand out among the group’s mix of edge length and developmental bodies.
  • Darin Graham, EDGE (three-star): The Mount Carmel product brings prototypical edge size at 6-foot-5 and 218 pounds. Wisconsin adds another long athlete who can grow into the position as his body fills out. Graham may need a couple years to get ready, but his frame and toolset scream future pass-rusher.
  • Isaac Miller, EDGE (three-star): Miller gives the class an in-state cornerstone from Waukesha, Wisconsin, at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds. He arrives with the kind of ready-made mass that fits a physical edge profile.
  • Brody Pfannenstiel, EDGE (three-star): Pfannenstiel adds more length at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds from Hoisington, Kansas. Explosive and twitchy off the edge. He reinforces the group’s theme of rangy edge bodies Wisconsin can develop.
  • Yahzeen Zion, DL (three-star): Zion brings a 6-foot-5 and 270-pound frame from Goodyear, Arizona, blending size with height on the interior. A disruptive player with a blue-chip offer list. He gives Wisconsin another big body with upside to build around in the defensive line room.
  • Will Zaccagnino, DL (three-star): Zaccagnino, from Trumbull, Connecticut, stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 270 pounds, matching Zion with a similar build. He adds depth and size to the inside group as Wisconsin keeps stacking linemen.

Wisconsin has multiple body types covered in this defensive front group, from a 300-pound interior anchor to several 6-foot-5 edges and big, tall defensive linemen. The next thing to watch is whether the Badgers keep pressing for more top-end defensive line talent as the 2027 class grows.
