Nothing is impossible, and there's a chance the Wisconsin Badgers could land a five-star EDGE.
Back on May 16, Auburn Wire reported that class of 2028 defensive standout Jalanie George narrowed down his top six to a list that included: Auburn, Ohio State, Washington, Miami, Oklahoma, and Florida.
Remember, at the start of June, George came to Madison for the "Bucky's Barbecue" event which was used as a major recruiting method.
Clearly, something came of that visit. Now, On3 gives the Badgers a 12% chance to land George. For what it's worth, Ole Miss, who many consider the favorite, is sitting at 14%.
George stands 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, and plays for Desert Edge in Goodyear, AZ. If that high school sounds familiar, it's because Wisconsin has a pair of 2027 commitments from Desert Edge: defensive lineman Yahzeen Zion and linebacker Nathan Jones.
None of this is to say the Badgers are the odds-on-favorites to land George, but there's certainly a conversation to be had as head coach Luke Fickell looks to land his first five-star at Wisconsin.
