No. Teams will still be as good and have more flexibility to get better. All we have is continuity.

The Suns could have won 50 games this past season if they hadn't forgotten how to play defense.

Why not be optimistic. Put be down for 46 or more wins.

As is, very much likely not. I guess there's always the unlikely possibility that Maluach and Fleming come firing out of the gate next year as vastly improved starter material, but realistically I expect Ott will still be overly cautious at implementing them into the lineup no matter what.

I really fully expect the Suns to make very little in the way of changes this offseason, and run back mostly the same roster, with the exact same philosophy they used last season. Then they will likely have to deal with the same problem keeping players healthy, while the rest of the league has figured out how to take advantage of their size issues. They seemingly always have to learn the hard way.

So much depends on other teams and moves they make. We have no idea what's going to happen. When I see what we do with the mid level exception, trades, draft, and free agent signings, then I can guess. If the Western Conference gets harder we could still win the same amount of games but be a higher seed.

This is a great poll idea, but we did it last year in August.

Our roster in May of 25 had very little in common to the roster a few months later as camp started.

Comparing this year's team to... this year's team... only next year?

At this point in time, a better question is if we trust that the front office is steering this team in the right direction...

The tunnel isn't as dark as I thought it would be be but it is still extremely long.

According to Ishbia, what you see is what you get. So base your decision on the current roster. Sure, if it changes a lot, do the poll again in August.

Why are you asking before any changes to the team have happened? This question is kind of pointless right now.

That's not really what he said. He said he prefers consistency unless something good comes along.

But I hear the Suns are trying to trade into the first, and also that they want to use the mid level, and might trade Mark Williams, Grayson and Royce.

But fine I will play along, if the exact same team came back next year we will win a few more games - mainly because I don't expect Jalen Green to be out the majority of the season.

we are indeed running it back this year - all the way down to mark williams which kind of shocked me - but gillespie and goody signed immediately - back to back - both on team friendly deals meaning they legit do want to be here

we had something special for a minute - before the injuries and quality teams with established chemistry got in our way - we were literally banging with okc and the spurs - we beat the knicks who had just won the cup and we didn't just beat l.a. we kicked their ass

the whole team seems to respect ott - nobody trips on the pecking order or how many minutes they get - no banishing no grandstanding - everybody working together - it's easy to see why everybody would want to come back

yet i've read takes online - from fans - from click bait sites - even from a well known writer saying the suns won't win more games this season - mostly because we didn't do anything in the offseason - because we didn't improve the team

i don't know what they are smoking but it ain't weed - idk how this team doesn't get better in year 2 together - we literally have everybody - they all support eachother - love one another - bombing eachother's pressers after big game winners

success comes with chemistry - chemistry isn't a tangible object that can be bought it's an experimental process - add one wrong element and it will blow up in your face

but we're not adding anything crazy at all - there will be no adjustment period (except maybe for how good fleming has become) - book's second summer camp with this squad won't be about getting to know eachother- but how to get further in the playoffs

we don't have some gimmick offense or defense - we're building on sound ground - not compensating but playing as a unit - trust comes with time

46 wins? i bet @Raindog we'd win 50 - but 45 wins is what we won last year and the poll is about whether or not we improve on that

last but definitely not least koa will be force in his rookie year - mark these hippie's words - ott will utilize that bully's drive on undersized mismatches - it's how a some teams beat up on us

46 wins shouldn't be the goal - it should be the minimum - we learned so much about ourselves last year - we have data showing who plays best together - we know every mother****er on the roster has heart - aint no bradley beals round here

get ready phx

I think they are likely now going to win more games than they were with the "run it back" lineup. But I hated that roster and would have guaranteed that team would fall off by ten wins next season if they did run it back.

I think there is a reasonable chance now that they can at least match the win total from last year unless somehow all of the chemistry just collapses. If they can make an additional (hopefully good) move to bring in a better guard to run along side Booker, who knows, they may actually have something.

No.

I think we're in the same ball park but I don't know how we exceed last season.

If one of our young guys take a huge leap, maybe we make a jump. But otherwise, I just don't see it.

Fringe playoff team with far too many guys who think they're "the guy", while the best among them, Booker, is the only one willing to sacrifice on offense.

We're going to lead the league in contested pull up three point attempts, and we're probably going to be one of the worst teams in the league at making them.

That said... I think we're going to kick the crap out of bad teams. It's a team of grinders.

I just don't see the end game. I can excuse this as a near future thing, keep them interesting when you're leveraged long term, but when you start gambling long term assets (like the 2033 pick) while have basically zero hope of contention in the present...

This makes zero sense. We cannot continue to gamble long term assets on stuff that will, at best, make us mildly more interesting in the present.

And every ounce of this ignore the elephant in the room...

I have season tickets, I promise you all, I am going to boo the piss out of this guy. I hate that they used the money I paid them to bring in this piece of trash.

I think this move is like moving the chairs around on the Titanic. You moved two guys who try hard for one guy that takes plays off. Except one of the two guys was hurt a lot. So meh.
