Great depth pick up- stoked for it. This team finally has the depth on almost all fronts to make a push
agreed.... Although medically cleared, I think it was a bare minimum driven by his desire to get on a roster... I wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals open the season with Mijo on IR and he sits out the first 4 weeksAdd in, cleared to play versus in playing shape is a bit of a gap.
If he is on IR then he is out for the year. He's on the PUP list. If he is still on that list to start the season he has to be out the first five games. Then, either activated, put on IR or waived with an injury release.agreed.... Although medically cleared, I think it was a bare minimum driven by his desire to get on a roster... Appearently you cannot do that with a player that is added at this point.agreed.... Although medically cleared, I think it was a bare minimum driven by his desire to get on a roster... I wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals open the season with Mijo on IR and he sits out the first 4 weeks
agree. At least management followed thru on their commitment.. You do your part and we’ll be here for you.
Despite the medical clearance, the Cardinals have placed him on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list—a precautionary move as he works his way back to full strength.
Not over Adams, he will have to play the other guard spot if he does.If he's 95% or more he starts IMO. Good signing.
Huh?Don’t get the excitement over signing this guy.
He’s an injured replacement level player.
Okay signing but a guy like Jedrick Wills as a backup tackle would be much better.
Given the PUP rules, that seems like the most likely/only option.I expect him to be active at the start of the season, but maybe not starting.
Well, other than the fact that that guy said he’s sitting out the whole year to get healthy…. I mean?Don’t get the excitement over signing this guy.
He’s an injured replacement level player.

Strongly disagree. If Will Hernandez is healthy he is a top 20 guard in the leagueDon’t get the excitement over signing this guy.

using baseball analytics, Hernandez would be a 0 war.Huh?
We already have a back-up tackles. We desperately need interior depth.
Willis flopped as tackle. Heard a lot of speculation that he could benefit from moving inside, but that has not been proven and if that was to happen he should have been signed in spring

He definitely needs to move inside...and could benefit from it.Huh?

That's 50 shades of ********.using baseball analytics, Hernandez would be a 0 war.
If he was that desirable, he wouldn’t be signing a contract with any team after training camp started.
Cards offered, he accepted. No impact at all. Serviceable at best.
Yeah okay...If he’s a top 20 guard in the league, that’s a bonafide starter on 20 teams.
Sorry, not the case. And he’d been signed long ago.
Did Will Hernandez kick your dog?using baseball analytics, Hernandez would be a 0 war.

I certainly hope Will has a bigger impact than Hump did in his return from injury.Yeah okay...
Name the 12 teams that have 2 guards better than Will.
You won't.
You can't.
They don't exist.
I believe this is exactly the case. He would have been signed if he was willing to play GHe definitely needs to move inside...and could benefit from it.
But it's likely at his age he still isn't ready to accept the "demotion" to guard...tackle is a more elite position and gets paid better.
He might have to see 32 teams willing to start the season without him as an OT to finally accept his future is at guard
