Wait Arians actually said this about Ryan fricking Lindley?

“Athletically, he’s one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league as far as arm strength and accuracy and all those things.”

"Accuracy"!?!?!?

What might not suck: Quarterbacks aside, the Cardinals are as deep and talented as any team in football. Just like the Texans. And the Bills. And 50 other teams that were too stupid to shore up the only position in the sport that matters. “Guys! If we build a nice roster without a quarterback, we can **** ourselves out of high draft picks for YEARS to come!”

So this guy is basically an advocate of "tanking" to land your QBOF, then sucking for a couple more years to build your contender. I'll take my chances with Palmer, thanks.

Next yr. we'll be drafting a QB again. Before the 3rd/4th Rd's, imo.

And We'll still be building our roster, despite later rd. picks.

It is Satire, WildBB. People always get upset about these articles but you are supposed to read them with a smile on your face.

"This city should not exist. It is a testament to mans arrogance"

“Athletically, he’s one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league as far as arm strength and accuracy and all those things.”

Wait Arians actually said this about Ryan fricking Lindley?

"Accuracy"!?!?!?

The original quote was in regard to Logan Thomas:
http://arizonasports.com/story/1025...ks-decision-to-stick-with-lindley-over-thomas

The author of the deadspin article mis-interpreted the quote. In his defense, the story on arizonasports.com was worded very poorly by Shane Dale, who also apparently doesn't understand the distinction between "who" and "whom". Normally the pronoun "he" in the third paragraph would refer back to the most recent proper noun, Lindley, but from context it's clear that Arians was referring to Thomas.

Why didn’t coach Bruce Arians replace struggling quarterback Ryan Lindley with rookie Logan Thomas?

With a couple days to reflect on the loss, Arians stood by the decision to leave the 6-foot-6, 250-pound Thomas on the sideline in favor of Lindley, who the Cards cut in the preseason.

“Athletically, he’s one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league as far as arm strength and accuracy and all those things. It’s the knowledge of the game and playing the position that he’s still learning,” Arians told Bickley and Marotta on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Monday. “He came out of three different offenses in college, so he’s learning (a new) offense.”

So, that explains the reference to top-10 athleticism and arm strength. The fact that Arians threw in "accuracy" remains baffling!

I've been waiting for this article to come out. One of the highlights of the offseason, some of them kill me.

Cleveland, Buffalo, The Jets, San Diego, Miami, and definitely Detroit (the fan comments for them) have all been total gut busters. We must be getting better, there wasnt that much bad to say about us this year.

The Detroit one started out horrific.
