The two teams that seem to be at the top of the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade talks are the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, but these three teams should also try to get involved.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves have witnessed several former stars, including Kevin Garnett, Kevin Love, Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns, win championships with their new teams shortly after leaving Minnesota. It's time for the Timberwolves to stop watching their former star players depart and succeed elsewhere; they need to focus on achieving success themselves.

Trading for Antetokounmpo would position the Timberwolves as serious contenders for the NBA Finals. With Anthony Edwards already one of the league's top players, pairing him with Antetokounmpo could create the NBA's best duo.

It would be risky to trade for Antetokounmpo since he can become a free agent after next season, but the Timberwolves have to start swinging for a big fish. If the Timberwolves can land Antetokounmpo, perhaps they can convince him to sign a long-term deal after playing alongside Edwards for a season.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder lost to the San Antonio Spurs in seven games during this year's Western Conference finals, and much of that was due to Oklahoma City forward Chet Holmgren's inability to stop Victor Wembanyama. Unfortunately for the Thunder, Wembanyama isn't even in his prime yet and could pose problems for Oklahoma City for years to come.

Oklahoma City should be calling the Bucks for Antetokounmpo, as he could be a key piece in stopping Wembanyama in the future.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors' days with Steph Curry are also coming to an end as he will turn 39 next March. Curry could have a few good seasons left in him, and Golden State should try to find him another star player to play with.

Antetokounmpo would be a perfect fit for the Warriors, as he could be the elite big man Curry has been looking for to partner with. This move could give the Warriors a legitimate chance to deliver Curry his fifth NBA title ring, helping him surpass LeBron James, who currently has four.
