#1 Reason: Their WR corps will be totally unproven. Why take a high pick QB who has no experience working with this level of talent?
#2Reason:They used a fairly high pick on Josh McCown.....logic would dictate that they lean on Blake until they have a better idea as to what Josh can do.
#3Reason:If McCown doesn't do anything to impress this year, next years crop of QB's are as strong as this years(Manning;Rivers;Roethlesberger;Anderson and David Greene).
#4Reason:What I'll call the Akili Smith Syndrome.Carson Palmer while possessing the requiste build of a desired 1st round QB versus Smith, essentially has only one year of proven success as a starter(do I hear Akili Smith here).
#5Reason:The pricetag of a high 1st round QB pick and the type of contract that would need to be structured to get him on board before training camp are "Bidwill Barriers"
#6 Reason: Coach Mac doesn't have the luxury of time to develop a high 1st round QB pick. He's got to get to the playoff round soon or he's out.
Any other reasons that I've overlooked?
