I'll be the first to say that I'm hoping the Cleveland Browns give Shedeur Sanders another run as the team's QB1. I'll also be the first to take note of when fans aren't exactly running in circles with excitement over something posted by a well-known player, and this certainly falls under that category. Sanders finds himself in the heat of the offseason with the Browns, and recently posted a new video of himself putting in extra practice time (not at the team facility).
Credit to Sanders for putting in the extra work, something we've seen him do often at the start of his NFL career. Although this specific video, which features him doing eyes-closed target work, apparently didn't exactly resonate with Browns fans. The clip was posted by ESPN Cleveland, and while the drill isn't uncommon, fans were quick to sound off on it.
The responses were probably what you'd expect, including one that said, this drill "Should help him read defenses." There were also several that didn't even directly troll Sanders, but the Browns and their offensive line as a whole.
Among the other notable responses:
Fortunately, there was a viewer who did cite that this likely works on "some kind of form and [creating] muscle memory," so at least it wasn't all terrible.
I'll give Sanders the benefit of the doubt on this one, though, because the fact that he's putting in the work even away from offseason practices deserves a tip of the cap. Even if you aren't a fan of the specific drill shown in a brief clip, the Browns signal-caller certainly did a broad range of additional drills, so let's chalk that up to a positive.
