The last twenty meetings the Cards are 12-6-2 against Pittsburgh. That has to be embarrasing for any Steeler fan.

Sunday we get lucky number 13.

Far from a troll. I have posted facts in debate w/o reponse. Just cuz you cannot keep up with me doesnt mean I have to type slower. nice emoticom.

Talk Football.

Here's some help. dont say I'm not a giver,okay?
SteelSurf, you say the Steelers have gone 27 consecutive games without anyone reaching 100 yards?
I say yes.
You say, gee SteelSurf, who was the last person to rush for over a hundred against you?
Answer: Edge James.
See how this works?
It's how educated Football fans discuss things.
quid pro quo. (thats Latin)

Now excuse me, early morning at the Firehouse, gotta catch some Z's.
Have a nice evening.
Here We go Steelers, HERE WE GO!

I told you we were done with that sort of talk from you unless you took it to the Smack Shack.

How is it laughable Shane? Why does the home field give a team an advantage? Because they have the crowd behind them. Every Cardinal fan that is replaced by a Steeler fan is a little more of an advantage for the Steelers. Do you disagree with that. And trust me, there are going to be plenty of Cardinals fans replaced by Steelers fans. I was offered $300 by a Steelers fan for my $30 seat.

Oh I agree you may have 15,000 steelers fans in that stadium on Sunday. However it is a dome. You will still have approx. 50,000 Cards fans. Who if are cheering the way they should could make that stadium plenty loud enough to disrupt.

It shoudlnt factor in a W/L scenario. The Steelers travel well all throughout the country not just here, Its not an excuse to say it helps them win.

Shane, Shane, Shane.

Shame on you. NEVER sell your tickets to an opposing teams fan. We have a hard enough time as it is.

What's the matter with you??

I know that the Steelers travel well. Very well. Who said that it's an excuse. If we can't confuse the Steelers because we have fewer fans making noise then the people that sold their tickets are to blame.

Dude the idea is to build a home field advantage, not sell it away! :(

When did I say that I sold my tickets to a Steeler fan? I have no idea whose fan they are. It's a hot ticket for both Cards fans and Steeler fans. Ebay, Craigs List, Stub Hub, et al, ticket prices are thru the roof! Papa didn't raise no fool! I would never pay $390 to watch a regular season game. NEVER! Don't matter who the opponent is. So, if ticket prices are going for that much, and higher, then why not put up an auction? If they don't sell, no foul, I go to the game. But my field level row 4 pair of seats sold for $575 plus $10 for shippng. Thats after the starting bid of $390. As beautiful as it was, a bidding war began from a Dback fan (as his ebay ID said he was), some other person in Vegas, and somebody else in Albuquerque. Those 3 sent the bids thru the roof. The auction was not closed to Cards fans. It wasn't closed to anybody. The Albuquerque person won. Nobody would top the $575 bid. Works for me! Are they a Cards fan? Maybe, who knows. The Cards do have a following in New Mexico. But then again, lots of Steeler fans right here in our valley too. Point is, if I can get that much cash, and triple or even quadruple my investment or better, I'll take it every time! Steeler fan or not! It don't matter if you all hate me. I don't care. It's just a 3 hour football game. Nothing else except entertainment. If there are fools living in the world willing to pay that amount of cash for such said entertainment, then so be it. I'll watch it on TV, no problemo!

OMG. I've turned down 4 great offers on my tickets for this game, just so they wouldn't go to Steelers' fans.

Sorry but normally I agree with you, but with players and owners raking in millions I see nothing wrong with a fan (who foots the bill anyways) making a few dollars here and there. No I would not suggest doing it every game, but you got to take advantage of a good opportunity as much as it hurts my heart.

Thank You!

The way I see it, it paid me back for the pointless pre-season games. It aches me to have to pay $60 x 2 seats x 2 games for something that doesn't even count and nobody cares about. I was there for Seattle, and I'll be there for the remaining 6. I saw opportunity, as you said, and I took it.

the ratbirds D isnt what it was,nor are the Steelers last years team. example:
ratbirds have a total of 6 sacks this year. We have 12. Opps total only four against us.
Hey, why are you talking so much smack about 'scrubs'? We played(and whupped) a team that beat you.
You want to disregard last year but are ready to make the stealers super bowl champs after 3 games against below average teams. I know the Cards lost to SF but they outplayed them AT SF. You guys have played what may be the easiest schedule in the league so far. Buffalo, Cleveland, and SF with SF being the only decent team and that was at home. You also have faced the 3 worst QB's in the league in Frye, Losman, and Smith but go ahead and pat yourself on the back. Hell, it's harder to not be 3-0 playing that schedule.

This game has all the makings of a "trap" game for Pittsburgh

non divisional, non conference, on the road and across the country.

Coming off a rout win at home, 3-0 and feeling very good about themselves -- even a little talk about going to the Superbowl, etc

As Cbus pointed out, they are coming off a schedule that borders somewhere between preseason and the regular season. It will be nice not to be the team that has to play a game after spending most of one day on an airplane flying across the country.

As for the crowd--

I dont think it will be any worse that the monday night game against Chicago -- and I was pleasantly surprised by how outnumbered the Bears fans were. I think 10k of the crowd will be in black and gold -- not surprising given that generally western PA is a place people move from, while AZ is a place people move to.
