The Seattle Seahawks will spend the 2026 NFL season attempting to defend their Super Bowl 60 title. That arrives with the weight of expectations. The Seahawks will be under pressure to perform throughout the upcoming campaign.
Various Seahawks players must confront that pressure. Pro Football Network recently named one player from every team facing pressure in 2026. Somewhat surprisingly for the Seahawks, they went with running back Zach Charbonnet.
"As is the case with any Super Bowl champion, the Seattle Seahawks have a few contributors slated to hit free agency in 2027," Jacob Infante wrote. "Among them is Zach Charbonnet, who’s been their 1B to Kenneth Walker’s 1A in the backfield. Walker has since been replaced by Jadarian Price. The Seahawks have Jalen Sundell, Leonard Williams, Anthony Bradford, and Uchenna Uwosu they could pay. Charbonnet will need to prove he’s worth paying over those guys."
In theory, Charbonnet is entering a contract year at the opportune moment. The Seahawks parted with Walker in free agency, making him the most experienced back on the roster. Unfortunately, Charbonnet is recovering from a torn ACL suffered in the playoffs. That complicates matters.
John Schneider just let Walker leave in free agency. Charbonnet could be headed for a similar fate. After all, the Seahawks now have Jadarian Price on an affordable four-year rookie contract (with a fifth-year option).
