The Seattle Seahawks underwent major changes at running back this offseason. Super Bowl 60 MVP Kenneth Walker III signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency. The Seahawks responded by drafting former Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price with the 32nd pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Those weren't the only major happenings for Seattle at running back. Remember that Zach Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL injury during the playoffs that is expected to delay his 2026 debut. John Schneider also signed Emanuel Wilson in free agency to compete for reps.
Who will lead the Seahawks in rushing yards this coming season? Price is the most straightforward answer based on the draft capital invested in his services. Don't sleep on George Holani, as the third-year undrafted free agent impressed in the playoffs after Charbonnet's injury. Holani appears primed for a promotion this season, and could be the early-down back.
New Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Fleury is tasked with sorting through his backfield. A run-game expert with Kyle Shanahan and the division rival San Francisco 49ers last season, Coach Fleury is expected to make good decisions. There's tangible excitement over Price's rookie season, but Holani could be the Seahawks' 2026 rushing yards leader.
