Q. Who were the 10 worst NFL quarterbacks inside the 10-yard line last season?
Warren Sharp did some work this week on NFL quarterback performances in 2025. Using his EPA metrics, Warren Sharp primarily relied on completion percentage when evaluating NFL quarterbacks inside the 10-yard line. He utilized this metric to highlight which QBs were the most and least efficient at completing passes in tight, high-leverage scoring areas.
Jayden Daniels, of course, was injured much of 2025, playing in only seven of the 17 regular-season games. So, Daniels won't play much into what transpired in 2025, but it is safe to say that Sharp's numbers again reveal that 2025 was no different than any other season in the fact that it's one thing to move a team up and down the field, and quite another to execute inside the tight confines of being near the end zone.
Consequently, for example, for a quarterback to pick up four yards on a 3rd & 6 from 20 is not nearly as valuable as picking up four yards on a 3rd and 4 from the 7. Not all yards gained are of equal value. One must always keep in mind the situation of down, yards to be gained, and from where on the field.
So, it is going to be surprising in some cases, but here are the 10 worst quarterbacks (using Sharp's metrics) inside the 10-yard line in the 2025 season.
Of course, we must not be too simplistic, thinking this is only about the quarterbacks. The bottom-line numbers, such as Sharp totals here, are going to easily fall on the quarterback. But there are other factors. Such as, some receivers do a much better job in tight confines than others. How well a team runs the ball in the red zone will greatly benefit an offense as well. But these numbers are interesting nonetheless.
