The Boston Celtics have had their fair share of legendary trash talkers over the years, from Hall of Fame forwards Larry Bird and Kevin Garnett right up to the present iteration of the storied ball club. But for whatever reason, there is a tendency for some fans to think this Celtics team is more buttoned-up than past versions when it comes to talking trash to an opponent.
But Boston big man let it be known that there are some mouthy players on the Celtics, including one player in particular who likes to let you know how what he thinks of your game. "Jaylen talks a lot of trash (...)," said Neemias Queta on a recent episode of teammate Derrick White's "White Noise" podcast.
"He's constantly saying how he's going to dunk on me and stuff like that," added the Portuguese big man.
"And when he gets a bucket, he always like,'Hey man, you know this what I do!"," recalled Queta of squaring off with Brown in practice. However, that is not the only arena where this version of the team gets to trash talking. As avid fans of the board game Catan, braggadocious verbiage can be heard flying about the team plane in a tight game, too.
"If we're talking Catan, I'd say Payton (Pritchard is the biggest trash-talker on the team)," said Queta. "Payton talks too much."
