Re-signings of Pace and Dansby. Extension of Fitz.
OG - Faneca - He isnt asking for a 50 Mill contract. He didnt even ask for that much when he asked Pitt for a 3 year extension last offseason. Not sure where that 50 Mill stuff he will demand is coming from.
TE - LJ Smith - Good all around TE who can actually block. Although I am not so sure the Cards want to do this and might ride with Patrick, Pope, and maybe a low tier blocker or 4th to 7th round blocking TE. Although there are some decent TE about to become free agents and might be the route to go. http://www.footballsfuture.com/2008/nfl/freeagentsWR.html
CB - Drayton Florence, Rudy Gay, ? - I think the Cards will go with another up and comer type in the same mold ad Hood was. Not to expensive but still young and could hit big maybe.
OT - Starks - Benched all season long. Stock is really, really low right now. May come here really cheap with the hopes of beating out Gandy for a starting job on a one year deal to raise his stock for the next offseason.
Kicker - Rob Bironas or Josh Brown. Depends on what tender offer they give to Rob Bironas. If it is the low tender I jump all over it. Anything else they can have him. Josh Brown is very clutch. Hit 7 Clutch field goals last year and has done a good job this season as well. Wouldnt mind spending a 4th-7th rounder on one if we need to.
Punter - ?
Mix in some smaller depth signings.
Go into the draft with a heavy emphasis on defense. Defensive players tend to get the grasp of the NFL faster then Offensive players. Plus they tend to help out more on special teams as well. Plus maybe a RB and a K/P(one or the other) mixed in there.
Nothing that is to much or to out of the relm of possibilities.
I forgot the biggest pickup of all. Dick Lebeau
