I'm sure they will look mostly on the defensive side.

Sign Asante Samuel and Lance Briggs and then draft Antoine Cason. That is not asking much, is it? Briggs did go to U of A.

Two biggest needs, CB and DE. Get a good one in FA (most likely a DE?) and draft the other with our first pick (unless there is a BPA that is too good to pass on).......and MOVE ROLLE TO FS!!!!

Briggs doesn't work in our defensive scheme (a 3-4/4-3 hybrid) unless you want to bench Hayes or Dansby. Assante would be a nice addition but he'll likely be out of our price range

Jared Allen of the Chiefs and Micheal Turner of the Chargers. I need a FA list to see who aviable. To whom it may concern,

Can you please put a FA list on a sticky.

thank you very much

There is absolutely no way that our o-line is where it should be. If we are going to pass on AP for Levi, then we need to follow through on that committment.

Alan Faneca is a must. No ifs ands or buts. If he is the only big name free agent we sign, then the offseason is a success, IMO. He is more important to our continued improvement than even Lance Briggs, Terrell Suggs, or Asante Samuel.

Give me this:

Levi Brown, Duece, Al Johnson, Alan Faneca, Gandy/Wells, and Russ Grimm. That, more than anything, will take us to the next level.

Jared Allen is going to remain a Chief. They've already said that there's no way at all that he leaves.

I would love Turner with with size, speed and production he'll get a starting job somewhere. I think we'll have to add a new RB through the draft. The only 2 big play threats are Turner and Justin Fargas. Fargas will most likely be retained by the Raiders as he was one of the league's top rushers in the 2nd half of the season.

The Steelers have 3 free agent linemen this offseason, Faneca, Max Starks and Chris Kemoeatu. Starks and Kemoeatu could both be signed under the "no big names" philosophy of Graves and co. I like Kemo, he's got a nasty attitude that maked Deuce look like a saint.

I know the Chiefs are going to slapp the franchise tag on Allen. Turner might be a reach. I also agree with the person that said Faneca is a must.

I just want Pace and Dansby extended. I dont really think it is feasible for us to have Leinart, Fitz, AW, Dansby, Dockett (it's coming) Boldin (he will want a new one soon) and Brown making primo bucks and think that we can afford to add someone with a price tag like J. Allen or A. Samuels.

My second wish is that we stay far away from Suggs, as Pace is better.

I agree with that as well. This would be a good place for him too. Nothing like finishing your career in a familiar system, new conference and beautiful climate.

I'd just like to see us keep our core here re-sign Dansby at all costs extend AW, Fitz, Q and Dockett. Move Rolle to FS and make a decision between Suggs and Pace (not both) my reasoning here is that I believe teams will be willingto overpay for a young player with the potential of Pace and the difference between his cap # and Suggs' may not be TOO big. If it's a matter of 2mil/yr or so, I'd go after Suggs, if it's greater than 2-3 mil difference bring Pace back. Depending on how large of contracts we're talking about I'd like to take a look at D.Florence, R.Gay and of course A.Faneca.

What is up with the extend Dockett stuff. He is in the first year of a 5 year deal. There is no way in hell we are or should give him a new deal any time soon.

Fitz will get a new deal this year. Wilson and Boldin next year in 2008. Then maybe Dockett in 2009 even though he is signed through 2011.

Agree on Suggs vs. Pace. At least in a 3-4 scheme. If it was a 4-3 Scheme Suggs would be the guy without question though.

Not having a top 10 pick will really help things this offseason. Having to pay for a draft pick cannot be used as an excuse anymore.

There is no way we cannot afford to chase after and have the money for (if they are willing to sign) both Faneca and Samuel, with money left for the extensions, re-signs, and some depth FA signings. We have the money (as long as we can accomplish a simple extension with Fitz). I have no doubt we do not have the stones to even try. If we cannot even try for ONE player on the level of these guys, then I'll be really disappointed.
