Florida baseball outfielder Hayden Yost was taken in the fifth by the Seattle Mariners of the 2026 MLB Draft.

The Tampa native was the No. 162 overall pick, which has a slot value of $429,100.

In 42 games, Yost made 30 starts with 23 in right field. The redshirt junior held a .262 average with 10 home runs, all of which came in his final 24 starts of the 2026 season. He also delivered five doubles and drove in 23 runs. As a sophomore, he started in 55 games and appeared in 60.

Against LSU this season, Yost hit three home runs as he went 4-for-5 at the plate with 13 total bases, five RBI and four runs scored.

In three complete seasons, Yost held a career average of .264 with 23 doubles, 14 home runs and 65 RBI in 99 starts and 134 games.
