Florida baseball outfielder Kyle Jones was drafted in the third round of the 2026 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.

Jones, who was the Gators' center fielder and leadoff hitter, was the No. 102nd overall pick which has a slot value of $770,600.

The redshirt sophomore, who missed most of the 2025 season with a shoulder injury, bounced back with a productive 2026 season. At the plate, he recorded a .317 average, 16 doubles, six home runs, 48 RBI and stole 17 bases. He also reached based 42 times in 111 appearances for a team-leading .382 on-base percentage.

Jones’ bat-to-ball skills coupled with his speed has helped him gain attention from MLB scouts.

The Athens, Georgia native, who transferred to UF from Stetson, did not commit an error in 113 defensive chances this season. His most notable game of the season was when he set a career high in hits with a 5-for-5 performance against Georgia. In that performance, he reached based in all six of his plate appearances with one homer, three runs scored, two RBI and one hit-by-pitch.

Prior to UF, Jones started 62 games at Stetson and was named a second team Freshman All-American.
