I don’t know, maybe their franchise left tackle?

He is not with the Eagles’ OL anymore. He doesn’t have Stoutland nor is he beside Lane Johnson. Remains to be seen if he reverts back to how he was with the Jets. Their interior OLine is still a mess.

Incredible logic. Instead of having two franchise tackles this season, they will have one. That definitely means the OLine will be fine & not a massive downgrade.

The non-KC AFC West team you really should be praising is the Broncos. Significantly better roster outside of Bo Nix vs Herbert.

It's never ideal to lose your LT and they would be better with him but to think losing Slater is going to make them worse than last year when they won 10 without him 2 years ago with a worse roster and HC doesn't make sense. They have a vastly better team and are in the 2nd year of a new scheme. Slater will be a loss from where they could have been this year, but they will still win 10+ games because the overall roster is better.

They have a ready made star to move to LT, my guess would be they will play Salyer at RT where played some at Georgia and he filled in very well at LT when Slater was injured last time.

I hope we can beat the Saints, I expect them to be the worst team in the league this year. Their QB situation is a horror show and they have sat out the last 2 free agencies in cap hell.

This is my issue though. Everyone is expecting Rattler to be bad because he was bad last year, but what if he's not?

What is the natural year 2 progression combined with a new offensive HC that was a QB has vastly improved him?

You guys man.

This is the one week of the year we are allowed unbridled hope.
Right now we are undefeated. We are tied for the best record in the NFL.
We have every right to believe we are going to the playoffs and possibly win it all.

But from many, they are already in late season doom and gloom form....

Screw that!! 20-0 until proven otherwise.
We are gonna stomp on those aints Sunday to the tune of
51-0
It's gonna be gloriously ugly and we will dominate nfl media all week as the prognosticators scramble to jump on the BigRed Bandwagon.

Get with the program Cards fans!!
This is the last week of the season when hope is free!!

That would be a bigger show than losing for me. I don't think Kyler has it in him to stomp any team in that way.

You can't win that big rushing, you need to throw for 400 yards plus to put up those kind of points.

He was a huge disappointment in college, he's been terrible as a pro, I have little doubt he will continue to be terrible. Not only did he suck, but he comes off like an entitled buffoon. He's just there as cannon fodder until they think Shough is ready to step in. (Shough stinks too)

If we lose to them, with that loser at QB, with a grotesque portion of their cap space on dead money... then we're off to a putrid start. That Saints team ain't winning more than 4 games, max.

That said, I think we'll win. If I had to guess a score... I'd say 24-13. I think we're going to be a mediocre team and that would put us several tiers above the Saints.

He threw for 70% comp rate and 300 yards in preseason. He's warmed up too. No rust to shake off.

I don't expect him to be great, but I think he'll be better than the garbage people think.

We have had a bad tendency by our DCs to play soft zone against backup and weak QBs

This allows them to have a lot of time and get comfortable in the pocket

Then they start to make some throws since they have time to survey the field and gain some confidence

Then the OC starts to take advantage of that

That's why they have good days against us

Any NFL QB with lots of time is capable of making the throws

The thing Rallis needs to do is bring the heat and make them uncomfortable and rush their throws, thus leading to mistakes and errant throws

I'd be surprised if he does that this week. QB under pressure at home, draft pick waiting in the wings. Screams out for increasing the pressure.

i don't want rattler to finish the game - i want him on the sidelines staring at an ipad wondering what went wrong while his teammates semi-ignore him due to his complete failure

bruh...I will be shocked if he plays in 8.5 games.
Yeah, it’s more likely. He comes back at some point and then gets injured again because he has no conditioning lol

Anything you get from Oujulari should be considered a plus. That’s a wasted pick, AFAIC

I’m expecting Rattler to be bad because he’s not that mobile and plays behind a weak line. I also think the Cards will have an above average pass rush even though they haven’t been fully integrated. With experience I expect them to be among the best.

My guess is Kellen Moore will try to utilize a similar strategy on offense to what the Cardinals have done. The strength of the Saints offensive line is in it's run blocking. Kamara still has some juice. Limit the QB and try to pass off of play action. I think both offenses are going to try to sit on the ball and play keep away which will limit possessions.

I think they will run. It’s rare to have full stamina in game 1. Kamara has a great deal of tread wear. I think he wears down while Connor and Benson keep pounding. The advantsge of depth prevails.
