The loss of Slater is tough. They have become more unproven at WR. TE is still meh. Keenan is limited. The defense is unproven.

It's kinda like the Cardinals in that with so many young players on the roster, it is tough to project them to all get better or be good. 11 wins with so much uncertainty is a tough benchmark.

The Vegas total is 9.5 for a reason.
My Vegas friends tell me they’ve never seen so much smart money move the line in the Cards favor. I am not recommending betting. It’s always a risk.

Being a three-point dog on the road for betting purposes is basically considered even.
It’s not “even” because there’s always a theoretical advantage playing at home, unless you’re the Cards. It’s just even in talent, not the chance of winning.

In my lifetime I’ve never had a dream where the Cardinals won lol. Ive been beaten down so badly over the decades that I just won’t allow myself to make an opening day prediction. I still remember Stalling’s 1st game as HC against the Rams in 1986. He thought college rules applied to the pros and that the clock stops after a first down. NOPE!! The clock ran out with us on the one yard line & we lost 16-10. Also remember the soul crushing loss to the Bengals in the 1997 opener when we dominated them until the 4th quarter.

A surprisingly large contingent of Cardinals fans realize in the third quarter that they actually miss Ron Wolfley calling the games...
And start coming up with their own Wolfisms to fill the void
Too far hunh?

3 point road dog. What is your criteria?

Steelers losing to the Jets…Giants beating Washington… Tennessee beating Denver… or player shocks… Kyler Murray throws for 300 yards… or Cardinals dominate Saints… plenty of shocks besides what’s seems like a pretty even matchup on paper between two 2nd round playoff teams from last year that improved in the offseason.

I hope we can beat the Saints, I expect them to be the worst team in the league this year. Their QB situation is a horror show and they have sat out the last 2 free agencies in cap hell.

You guys man.

This is the one week of the year we are allowed unbridled hope.
Right now we are undefeated. We are tied for the best record in the NFL.
We have every right to believe we are going to the playoffs and possibly win it all.

But from many, they are already in late season doom and gloom form....

Screw that!! 20-0 until proven otherwise.
We are gonna stomp on those aints Sunday to the tune of
51-0
It's gonna be gloriously ugly and we will dominate nfl media all week as the prognosticators scramble to jump on the BigRed Bandwagon.

Get with the program Cards fans!!
This is the last week of the season when hope is free!!

Beej Ojulari is finally gonna take the field in October....

And he ends the season with 8.5 sacks.
Just in time for his third year push for a contract extension

Catches on the season or yards in the game??
I think you’ve lost track of the purpose of this thread. It’s week one shockers. Not season shockers. :)
