This shocking to me.I dont think we will suck this season.
But I do think we will be a somewhat above average team in the toughest division in football and lacking a star QB
Anything between 4-13 and 13-4 is possible.
But I'm guessing 7-10 to 10-7 is our range
why?This shocking to me.
7-10 on the low end is pretty high. I put the range at 5-12 to 10-7.why?
Rookie coach, no legit starter at QB, same DC that sucked, same oline coach that sucked, team won 3 games last year, cardinals. This shocking to me.
So you’re saying there’s a chance!!Rookie coach, no legit starter at QB, same DC that sucked, same oline coach that sucked, team won 3 games last year, cardinals.
But it’s not the same Oline we have 3/5 new starters. Rookie coach may still be an upgrade from Gannon. Agree on DC 100%Rookie coach, no legit starter at QB, same DC that sucked, same oline coach that sucked, team won 3 games last year, cardinals.
Yes but the question is whether we will suck, and I think that’s fairly unlikely barring major injuries and terrible luck in one-score games. If JB is starts most of the season, we are not going to be good.
This is the exact reason I'm cutting bait with JB and rolling with Beck...or at worst, let Minshew start the first 4, then give way to Beck.JB has started more than 10 times in a season 4 times out of this 10 year career with 16 total wins in those 4 season for 4 wins a season. His best was 7 wins when he took over for Andrew Luck in 2019 when he abruptly retired. Luck won 10 games with the same roster on offense the previous year. He also set a career high for INTs and will be 35 during the season. If JB is starts most of the season, we are not going to be good.
That feels reasonable. Some folks thinking 11 wins is something else though, unless Beck turns into Russell Wilson 2.0.Yes but the question is whether we will suck, and I think that’s fairly unlikely barring major injuries and terrible luck in one-score games.
I have the Cards over 5.5 wins and feel pretty good about it. The Dolphins won seven Games last year.
I'd honestly like to see Beck start day 1.This is the exact reason I'm cutting bait with JB and rolling with Beck...or at worst, let Minshew start the first 4, then give way to Beck.
That's pretty close, Beck looks to be twice the size of Wilson...That feels reasonable. Some folks thinking 11 wins is something else though, unless Beck turns into Russell Wilson 2.0.
How many players admit to the game finally slowing down for them after one or two years. That's why you don't throw a rookie QB in the first year unless he wins it in camp. Even if it takes a few games to see which cardinals team shows up this year. And I think it's going to be better than expectedI'd honestly like to see Beck start day 1.
That’s most likely to ensure we do suck. I think both Brissett and Minshew are better week one starters than Carson Beck.I'd honestly like to see Beck start day 1.
NFL game speed is so much faster that collegeThat’s most likely to ensure we do suck. I think both Brissett and Minshew are better week one starters than Carson Beck.
You have to give the other players on the roster (and your #3 overall pick) a chance to succeed. Thats not with Beck.
He played 55 college games and will be 25 just after the season starts. At this point, either he has it or he doesn't. The last 3rd round pick to have instant success played in 50 college games and is two weeks younger than Carson when they were drafted. He needs to play to see if we need to go QB next year. No way you waste this year and them pass on a top QB next year without knowing what you got.NFL game speed is so much faster that college
He should sit for a while and see how JB or GM process the game from the sidelines and the film room
He needs to be able to read the defense before taking the field
I agree, he either has it or he doesn't. The number of games he played in college means nothing. He's now going to the NFL, which means the players that make the practice squad are better than 95% of the players he went against in college. There's a reason players admit the game has finally slowed down for them. Beck might toss a pass out to the flat that's routine in college but now it's a pick 6 because the defender covered 15 yds faster than his pass did. We'll see how it all plays out come August. The coaches will see hundreds of camp and practice reps that will let them know much more than we will.needs to play to see if we need to go QB next year.
Like Kurt Warner? Or how Eli Manning was so bad in his first training camp, the Giants were worried?l and was notorious for being bad in practice? The coaches will see hundreds of camp and practice reps that will let them know much more than we will.
If that’s the case we can wait until week six to find out.Like Kurt Warner? Or how Eli Manning was so bad in his first training camp, the Giants were worried?l and was notorious for being bad in practice?
I didn’t claim it was the same oline. Just the same line coach who turned a virtually identical successful oline from the previous season into a train wreck. But it’s not the same Oline we have 3/5 new starters. Rookie coach may still be an upgrade from Gannon. Agree on DC 100%
