Regardless of who we pick, and who we actually want, this feels like the smoke and mirrors game that good teams manage to pull off when trying to keep all options open. We always chastise MO, but this feels like effective management of the draft to me.

We may not agree with the ultimate outcome, but if youre sitting 3 in a talent deficient draft, its good work to have the biggest names in draft analysis saying youre interested in three players that all might warrant a move up from another team to grab them.

Now, I just hope we actually make the correct decision, and however it plays, we end up with good players.

Conners new deal makes it easy to get out of and if you draft Love and you have Allgeier, Conner and Benson then you have options to trade Conner or Benson. Both have value if a team loses a RB in camp.

I think if you bring in a young offensive HC you should give him weapons. I can't imagine MLF doesn't love Love.

Get a RT later.
Conner and Benson have no trade value.

Dexter Lawrence will be traded before the draft and it appears to be down to the Bears and Bills.

The Arizona Cardinals had a top 30 visit with Alabama's OT Kadyn Proctor, per @RapSheet.

thinks Arizona will trade back into the 1st round to select Ty Simpson.

"You might have heard that Simpson has started only 15 games, and that lack of experience is a concern. But he is also accurate, mobile and smart in the way he dissects opponent defenses."

predicts Arizona will take Arvell Reese at No. 3.

"Mike LaFleur will want some foundational players on his defense, and Reese has a sky-high ceiling. He has extended experience at off-ball linebacker and off the edge, and Arizona could use him at either spot."

I am excited for the potential boom that Reese might provide. I just hope they focus on making him an edge first and foremost since it is where he can make the biggest impact.
Exactly. And he has, by far, the highest ceiling. Taking a RT over him would be insane.

Unfortunately, we are in the same spot we were before free agency. Didn't make any meaningful signings and going into the draft with a ton of holes to fill. So I'm sure they will look to trade down to get quantity over quality and select mediocre talent.
Did we really cut ADG and not sign anyone to replace him?

I asked A.Q. Shipley if it would make sense for the Cardinals to trade up into the first for Ty Simpson.

“Not for me. I think you ride it out. You’ve got your 1 and 2. You’ve got (Jacoby) Brissett and you’ve got (Gardner) Minshew. Let it ride.”

The Arizona Cardinals had a top 30 visit with Tennessee WR Chris Brazzell II per
@RapSheet

Brazzell is 6’4 198 lbs and ran a 4.37 at the combine. Brazzell is one of the more polarizing prospects in the draft.

2025 stats: 62 Rec, 1017 yards, 9 Tds

they're trying to make him the new Randy Moss just not having it. he's good but he's flown up the boards because of his 40 time not his actual tape. You can argue he's a first rounder for sure

Text from a respected NFL GM in response to a heated discussion we had on "The Schrager Hour" over whether a team can really take a safety (Downs) in the top 5 in 2026:

"Throw positional value out this year."

Food for thought.

100%. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you, but my belief is the more public misdirection there is, the more bargaining power MO has behind closed doors.

Of course, its a stretch to assume he's capable of creating/using this, but I havent completely written him off yet. I will in no way be surprised if/when he's shown the door, but I hold out hope that running a football team as moribund as ours, perhaps he can still impress. Better happen soon.
