Wall baseball’s Kellan Oliver was named to the Class 3A Division II State Championship All-Tournament Team following the team’s state semifinal appearance this season.
Oliver was named to the team as an outfielder after splitting time pitching and in the outfield on defense during the team’s three-game series against eventual state champion Paradise.

The senior lefty tossed the first game, finishing 6⅓ innings on the mound and only giving up four hits and three earned runs with four strikeouts. Across the series, he had four hits, three RBIs and a home run.
The All-State Tournament team selections are voted on by the head coaches of teams who reached the UIL state semifinals in their respective classifications.
Earlier in the year, Oliver signed to play college baseball with Odessa College. He joins a Wranglers squad that finished 38-17 but lost in the first round of the postseason to McLennan Community College. Fellow Hawk, Reid Ballard, also signed to play college baseball at Odessa College next season.
