The high school spring sports season is well underway. It’s your chance to vote for the Eagle-Gazette High School Athlete of the Week for May 4-10, 2026.
Fans are encouraged to vote in the Eagle-Gazette Fan Poll to determine who they think had the most outstanding performance. Fans can vote as often as allowed.
The poll will run from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday. The winner will be revealed soon after the survey concludes.

Lancaster’s Hailey Rings was last week’s winner.
Here is the list of athletes:
Carson Miller, Lancaster: He fired a complete-game no-hitter, striking out 12 in a 7-0 win against Canal Winchester.
Landon Funk, Fisher Catholic: He was the Most Valuable Runner at the Laker Invitational after winning three relays and the 800.
Nicholas Yingling, Millersport: He tossed a no-hitter and struck out 10 in five innings in a win against Harvest Prep.
Kileigh Rohr, Lancaster: She fired a complete-game, five-hit shutout in a 2-0 win over Chillicothe.
Julia Carsman, Lancaster: Only a freshman, she hit two home runs in an OCC-Buckeye Division win over Reynoldsburg.
Kam Griffith, Lancaster: He had three hits in a 9-2 OCC-Buckey Division win over Logan.
