With 74% of the total vote share, Marlboro baseball's Liam Correa won the Poughkeepsie Journal Boys Athlete of the Week poll for June 1-7.

Nominations are based on information gathered and received by the Poughkeepsie Journal throughout the week. For consideration, coaches are asked to submit game information and player stats to [email protected] before the end of the week.

Each week's winner will be selected and posted in the upcoming week's poll. Polls will close at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night before the announcement the following morning.
The sophomore placed fifth in the Class A 200-meter dash at the NYSPHSAA New York State Championships at Webster Schroeder with a time of 22.09.
The senior placed eighth in the Class C long jump at the NYSPHSAA New York State Championships at Webster Schroeder with a jump of 21-4.
Durandisse placed sixth overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the NYSPHSAA New York State Championships at Webster Schroeder with a time of 9:30.14.
Johnson won his third-straight Class A state championship in the pentathlon at the NYSPHSAA New York State Championships at Webster Schroeder.
Timm won the Class B state championship in the pentathlon at the NYSPHSAA New York State Championships at Webster Schroeder.
