There were plenty of tremendous performances last week in the Central Mass. softball season, and Jennifer Toland found some of the best of them for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Softball Player of the Week.
Congrats to Millbury's Brielle Brothers for taking the top spot in last week's poll, registering 5,255 votes (36 percent) to get past Leominster's Cali Gevrekakis (3,113 votes), Oxford's Ariella Donahue (2,221 votes), South's Shakeira Hutchins (1,767) and Wachusett's Mia Porcelli (1,611 votes) for the honor.
These picks were selected from performances reported by area coaches to the Hometeam Scoreboard. Coaches or administrators are encouraged to report game results and highlights each night by calling the T&G sports desk at 508-793-9350 or emailing [email protected].

Adrianna Arsenault, Tyngsborough
Arsenault had the winning two-run single against Lunenburg and went 3-4 with an RBI to lead the Tigers past Clinton.
Taylor Attaway, Hudson
Attaway allowed 5 hits in a 5-inning shutout of Acton-Boxborough and went 2-3 with a triple and 4 RBIs in a win over Grafton.
Bianca Bazernick, Bromfield School
In a win over Quabbin Regional, Bazernick had 13 strikeouts, including the 200th of her career. She struck out 10 in a win over Murdock.
Lacey Beauregard, Narragansett
Beauregard hit a home run and drove in three runs to lead the Warriors past North Middlesex Regional.
Antonia Bianchini, West Boylston
Bianchini went 4-0 and pitched a two-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts against Narragansett Regional to help the Lions remain undefeated.
Brielle Brothers, Millbury
Brothers led the Woolies to a 3-0 week by pitching her first career no-hitter against Grafton and hurling a 2-hit shutout against Notre Dame Academy. She struck out 30 batters in the three games. Brothers belted a 2-run homer against Bellingham.
Madi Carpenter, Shepherd Hill
In two wins, Carpenter had 23 strikeouts, including the 250th of her career in a victory over Tantasqua Regional.
Meghan Charlton, Auburn
In a win over Douglas, Charlton had 2 doubles and 4 RBIs. She had 4 hits in a win over Worcester Tech.
Ava Courtemanche, Burncoat
In a win over South, Courtemanche struck out 12 and had three hits.
Kira DeBaggis, Nipmuc
DeBaggis went 3-3 with two home runs to lead the Warriors past Nashoba Regional.
Allie Fitzsimmons, Gardner
In a win over Tahanto Regional, Fitzsimmons was 2-3 and drove in the go-ahead run in the sixth.
Lola Grube, Uxbridge
Grube went 3-4 with 2 doubles, a home run and 5 RBIs in a win over Doherty and scored 3 runs in a win over Northbridge.
Leah Harrington, Lunenburg
In a win over Ayer Shirley, Harrington was 3-4 with a double, 2 stolen bases and 4 RBIs.
Avery Horrigan, Marlborough
Horrigan delivered a walk-off RBI single to lift the Panthers past Oakmont Regional.
Layla Huntley, Hopedale
Huntley hit a 2-run homer in a win over Maynard and went 4-4 with 4 RBIs in a win over Shepherd Hill Regional.
Kyra Krasinskas, Oxford
In a win over David Prouty, Krasinskas pitched five perfect innings and struck out 11 of the 15 batters she faced.
Miranda Linde, Bay Path
In a win over Monty Tech, Linde hit her 13th home run to tie the Bay Path all-time record and collected her 100th career hit.
Averill Maarouf, Wachusett
Maarouf went 5-6 with four RBIs in the Mountaineers’ 2-2 week.
Keira McCord, Tantasqua
McCord struck out 19 in a three-hit shutout of Hopedale and delivered the winning RBI in the 11th inning. In three games, she registered 36 strikeouts.
Ava McLeod, AMSA
McLeod struck out 11 in a no-hitter of Oxford and collected four hits, including a home run, to lead the undefeated Eagles to a 4-0 week.
Mabel Miling, Monty Tech
Miling pitched a 4-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts against Assabet Valley and had 5 hits and 2 RBIs in two games.
Alyssa Olsen, David Prouty
In a win over Assabet Valley, Olsen had a double and four RBIs.
Fallyn Pederson, Leicester
Pederson pitched a 3-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts against David Prouty and combined with Ayla Pederson on a 1-hit shutout of Quaboag Regional.
Ryleigh Raschi, Maynard
In a win over Marlborough, Raschi struck out 15 batters and drove in two runs.
Leo Repole, Clinton
In a 1-hit, 5-inning shutout of Fitchburg, Repole collected her 100th career hit. She went 4-5 with 3 RBIs in a win over Oakmont Regional.
Abigail Ricker, Westborough
In wins over Algonquin Regional and Nashoba Regional, Ricker was 4-8 with a home run and eight RBIs.
Abby Rogowski, Quabbin
Rogowski had 3 hits and 5 RBIs in a win over Bromfield and struck out 8 batters in a win over Murdock.
Lyla Rose, Shrewsbury
In a 2-0 week, Rose had four hits, including a home run, and six RBIs.
Ireland Shea, St. Paul
Shea hit an inside-the-park grand slam in a win over Leominster and had a single and two RBIs in a win over Uxbridge.
Payton Smith, Valley Tech
Smith hit a walk-off homer to beat Bay Path in the State Vocational Tournament semifinals.
Anna Soini, Fitchburg
In wins over Clinton and Lunenburg, Soini had 5 hits and 5 RBIs. Against Lunenburg, she and her twin sister, Ina, both collected their 100th career hits in the same inning.
Jocelyn Solitro, Ayer-Shirley
In a win over St. Bernard’s, Solitro had three hits, including a grand slam.
Abby Spaulding, Notre Dame Academy
Spaulding went 3-5 with 3 stolen bases and 2 RBIs in a win over St. Bernard’s.
Kallie Tevepaugh, Northbridge
Tevepaugh had three hits and three RBIs in a win over Monty Tech.
Jasmine Trudeau, Douglas
Trudeau had 2 hits and an RBI in a win over BMR and went 4-6 with 4 RBIs in a loss to Auburn.
Madison Ward, Littleton
Ward was 3-4 with three RBIs in a win over North Middlesex Regional.
