There were plenty of tremendous performances last week in the Central Mass. softball season, and Jennifer Toland found some of the best of them for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Softball Player of the Week.

Congrats to Tyngsborough's Adrianna Arsenault for taking the top spot in last week's poll, garnering 20,342 votes (38.4 percent) to hold off Hopedale's Layla Huntley (14,720 votes), Millbury's Brielle Brothers (6,830 votes), Groton-Dunstable's Hannah Campbell (3,305 votes), Leicester's Callie Ladner (2,571 votes) and Tantasqua's Brynn Boucher (1,571 votes) for the honor.

These picks were selected from performances reported by area coaches to the Hometeam Scoreboard. Coaches or administrators are encouraged to report game results and highlights each night by calling the T&G sports desk at 508-793-9350 or emailing [email protected].

Sarah Arndt, Oxford​

Arndt had two hits and drove in five runs to lead the Pirates past Northbridge.

Antonia Bianchini, West Boylston​

In a win over Narragansett Regional, Bianchini struck out eight and had a double, triple and RBI.

Brielle Brothers, Millbury​

Brothers struck out 13 batters and drove in three runs to help lead the Woolies past Bristol-Plymouth.

Kira DeBaggis, Nipmuc​

In the Warriors’ 1-1 week, DeBaggis went 4-6 with a home run and four RBIs.

Emma Ellis, Shrewsbury​

In the Colonials’ 3-0 week, Ellis went 8 for 11 with a triple and 8 RBIs.

Brooke Gniadek, Valley Tech​

Gniadek allowed 1 run on 3 hits and struck out 13 to lead the Beavers past Franklin County Tech.

Emma Goodwin, Oakmont​

Goodwin collected three hits and drove in five runs in a win over Gardner.

Ava Grant, St. Paul​

Grant pitched a perfect game against Doherty and struck out 34 batters in the Knights’ 2-1 week. Grant drove in three runs in a win over Leominster.

Kylie Grazulis, Northbridge​

Grazulis had four hits and drove in five runs to lead the Rams past BMR.

Lilly Grebinar, Lunenburg​

In a win over Ayer-Shirley, Grebinar had three doubles and a triple and scored four runs.

Lola Grube, Uxbridge​

Against Bay Path, Grube hit the 32nd home run of her career to tie the Uxbridge all-time record.

Kaitlin Haggerty, Groton-Dunstable​

Haggerty struck out eight in a five-hit shutout of Greater Lowell.

Kiley Hogan, Tyngsborough​

In wins over Beverly and Lunenburg, Hogan struck out 20 batters and drove in five runs.

Maddie Hogan, Douglas​

Hogan belted a grand slam in the Tigers’ win over Burncoat.

Kaylee Jones, North Middlesex​

Jones allowed 1 run on 3 hits and struck out 15 in a win over North Brookfield.

Addison Keenan, Leominster​

Keenan had three hits and two RBIs in the Blue Devils’ 1-1 week.

Josie Lamacchia, Burncoat​

Lamacchia had a single, double and drove in two runs to help lead the Patriots past Worcester Tech.

Gabby Lapan, Bay Path​

Lapan went 3-4 with an RBI in a win over Worcester Tech and had a two-run single in a win over Uxbridge.

Keira McCord, Tantasqua​

McCord helped lead the Warriors to a 3-0 week by throwing a 1-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts against Woburn and striking out 14 in a victory over Agawam. She hit two home runs and drove in seven runs.

Mabel Miling, Monty Tech​

In the Bulldogs’ 3-0 week, Miling collected 8 hits, including a grand slam and 2-run homer, and drove in 14 runs.

Emily Ruiz, Algonquin​

In a win over Quabbin Regional, Ruiz struck out 10 and drove in two runs.

Ella Swedberg, Auburn​

Swedberg went 2-3 with a home run and three RBIs in the Rockets’ win over Millbury and helped Auburn to a 3-0 week.

Ava Welch, Grafton​

In a win over Douglas, Welch struck out 11 and did not walk a batter and had two hits.

Cassie Wilkins, Wachusett​

Wilkins crushed a pair of solo homers to help lead the Mountaineers to a come-from-behind win over St. Paul.
