The winner of last week’s Baseball Player of the Week poll was Dartmouth’s Chase Afonso. He had more than 11,000 votes (37%) to receive the honor.

Afonso pitched 2 ⅓ innings of relief, allowing 1 run and 1 hit to get the win over GNB Voc-Tech. He also had 2 hits.

The winner of the Preseason Baseball Player of the Year poll was Dartmouth’s Logan Stott with more than 1,000 votes (38%). Old Colony’s Cam Vallee was second followed by GNB Voc-Tech’s Ashton DeMedeiros.

Each week during the regular season, we will highlight the top performances.

Here’s your chance to vote for the top high school baseball performance from the past week.

Brayden Bogdan, Apponequet​


Bogdan had a 2-RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift the Lakers to a comeback win over Bishop Stang. He also had a combined 4 hits and 2 RBIs in a pair of wins over Old Rochester and Somerset Berkley.

Ryan Levesque, Apponequet​


Levesque pitched 5 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 2 walks with 7 strikeouts in a win over Old Rochester. He also had 3 hits and 3 RBIs in a win over Somerset Berkley.

Sean Lundrigan, Apponequet​


Lundrigan had a combined 4 hits and 6 RBIs in a pair of wins over Old Rochester and Somerset Berkley.

Amir Cartagena, Bishop Stang​


In three games, Cartagena went a combined 6-for-9 with a walk, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

Nathan Zexter, Bishop Stang​


Zexter went a combined 4-for-6 with an RBI and 3 runs scored in a pair of losses to Apponequet and Bishop Fenwick.

Sebastian Diaz, Dartmouth​


Diaz went 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs in a loss to New Bedford.

Logan Stott, Dartmouth​


In a loss to Middleboro, Stott had a solo home run.

Nick Lajoie, Fairhaven​


In three games, Lajoie went a combined 4-for-8 with a walk, an RBI, 3 stolen bases and 4 runs scored.

Evan Lamontagne, Fairhaven​


In a loss to Case, Lamontagne pitched 5 ⅓ innings, allowing 3 runs on 1 hit and 2 walks with 9 strikeouts. He also went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs in a win over Bourne.

Jackson Ponte, Fairhaven​


In a win over Bourne, Ponte went 2-for-2 with 2 stolen bases and a run scored. He also pitched the last inning and struck out the side. In a loss to Case, Ponte was 1-for-3 with an RBI and run scored.

Ashton DeMedeiros, GNB Voc-Tech​


In a win over Somerset Berkley, DeMedeiros threw a complete-game four-hitter with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts.

Charlie Niemiec, GNB Voc-Tech​


Niemiec drove in the winning run with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning against Somerset Berkley.

Logan Rego, GNB Voc-Tech​


In a pair of games against Somerset Berkley and Old Colony, Rego had a combined 4 hits.

Jerriel Cortes, New Bedford​


Cortes had 2 hits and 3 RBIs in a win over Dartmouth.

Camden Hill, New Bedford​


Against Dartmouth, Hill had 2 hits and 3 RBIs.

Trevor Roderiques, New Bedford​


In a loss to Bridgewater-Raynham, Roderiques went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. He also went 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI and run scored.

Kris Woods, New Bedford​


Woods had a pair of home runs and 4 RBIs in a loss to Springfield Central. He also scored 3 runs in a win over Dartmouth.

Aiden Deree, Old Colony​


Deree went the distance in a win over GNB Voc-Tech, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks with 5 strikeouts. He also chipped in with 3 hits.

Marc Donati, Old Colony​


In a win over GNB Voc-Tech, Donati was 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and a 2-run home run.

Cam Vallee, Old Colony​


Vallee was 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored, 2 walks and 3 RBIs against GNB Voc-Tech.

Charlie Connelly, Old Rochester​


In a loss to Seekonk, Connelly had 1 hit and 1 RBI.

Jackson Cabe, Wareham​


In a pair of wins over Southeastern and Rising Tide, Cabe had a combined 4 hits, 2 RBIs and a run scored.

Tyler Cannon, Wareham​


Cannon combined for a no-hitter with teammate Braydon Pease in a win over Rising Tide, pitching 3 innings, striking out 5. He also had 3 RBIs at the plate.

Pease combined for a no-hitter with teammate Tyler Cannon in a win over Rising Tide, striking out 2 over 2 innings.
