The winner of last week’s Softball Player of the Week poll was GNB Voc-Tech’s Leah Perez. She had more than 22,000 votes (48%) to receive the honor.
Perez was 2-for-5 with a walk and four runs scored against Dartmouth.
The winner of the Preseason Softball Player of the Year poll was Old Colony’s Madison Canton with more than 10,000 votes (50%). Fairhaven’s Brianna Pierce was second followed by Wareham’s Jolee Anderson.

Gagnier went 3-for-4 with a double, walk, RBI and run scored against Old Rochester.
In a pair of games against Somerset Berkley and Old Rochester, Kelly went a combined 5-for-7 with 2 walks and 5 runs scored.
Suneson hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh to lift the Lakers past Somerset Berkley 2-1.
In three games, Taylor pitched a combined 16 innings, allowing 2 earned runs with 33 strikeouts. She also went 1-for-3 at the plate against King Philip and 3-for-3 with a home run, walk, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored against Old Rochester.
In a win over Old Rochester, Zuber went 3-for-3 with a double, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
Teixeira went 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs and a hit-basesman in a loss to Bishop Fenwick.
In a loss to New Bedford, Rapoza went 2-for-2 with a run scored.
In a win over Diman, Bettencourt went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
In two games, Furtado had a combined 5 hits and 1 RBI.
In two games, Marques had a combined 4 hits and 5 RBIs.
Pierce threw a perfect game against Bourne, allowing no hits and no walks with 13 strikeouts. She also homered in the first inning and had 2 RBIs. in a win over Diman, Pierce struck out 12 batters and allowed just three hits while contributing a double and 2 RBIs at the plate.
In a loss to Dighton-Rehoboth, Asci pinch hit a grand slam for her first varsity home run.
Machado slugged her first varsity home run in a loss to Somerset Berkley.
In three games, Vazquez went a combined 7-for-12 with a two-run home run against Dighton-Rehoboth and two RBIs against New Bedford.

Spring blast: Apponequet softball wins late against Somerset Berkley
DeDeus hit 2-run home runs in back-to-back games. She had a combined 6 hits and 7 RBIs in three games.
In a pair of games against GNB Voc-Tech and Dartmouth, DiMatteo had a combined 4 hits, 2 RBIs and a run scored.
Mattos slugged 3 home runs and a single in a win over Falmouth. She also had 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Against Dartmouth, Mattos had a single, 2 doubles, a triple and 4 RBIs. She also went 2-for-3 with an RBI against GNB Voc-Tech.
In a win over Bourne, Norton went 2-for-3 with a triple, 2 runs scored and an RBI.
Servis was 2-for-3 with a triple, 3 runs scored and an RBI against Bourne.
In a win over Old Rochester, Anctil went 3-for-5 with a single and 2 doubles.
Against ORR, Anderson was 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and had 6 strikeouts over 4 innings.
Boutin had a three-run home run against Old Rochester.
