The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Vikings still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 10 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft in a class that many are saying could be one of generational wealth.

Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski recently released the latest way-too-early 2027 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team going with a new offensive tackle in Trevor Goosby. He enters the Fall as our top-rated offensive tackle after his Summer scouting report was complete.

Sobleski explains the Goosby pick, writing, "Long-time right tackle Brian O'Neill is entering the last year of his contract and turns 32 next year. Minnesota can draft O'Neill's replacement and establish an excellent pair of bookends. Texas' Trevor Goosby is a natural left tackle, though he does have some experience on the right side. He showed marked improvement during his first full year as a starter. He can flip sides in Minnesota, while also serving as insurance since Christian Darrisaw has yet to play a full regular-season slate during his five-year career."

Brian O'Neill is getting older as he writes, so the pick of Goosby would make sense. The offensive line is clearly one of this roster's best assets, so they will look to keep it in top form. To achieve that, they are likely not to let time pass before finding a suitable replacement like Goosby.
