SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Central High School girls basketball team had to fight hard to make it to the postseason, and now the Lady Cats will see if they can make some memories in the playoffs.
The Lady Cats snapped a three-game losing streak with a win at home against Midland High this past Tuesday, securing the fourth and final playoff spot.
Central (22-11) will face El Paso Montwood (24-5) in Class 6A bi-district playoff at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Monahans High School. The Rams are taking a 15-game winning streak into the playoffs.
The Central-Montwood winner will face Fort Worth Boswell or Byron Nelson in the area round later this week.
