SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Central High School girls soccer team was clinging to hopes of making the playoffs in the regular-season finale on Tuesday, but a 5-1 loss at Frenship prevented a postseason berth in Bri Caudle’s first season as head coach.

Central finished 4-10-3 and 4-5-1 in District 2-6A to finish in fifth place.

Despite not making the playoffs, Caudle was pleased with the energy the Lady Cats had, and she’s looking forward to the years ahead.

“We have nine seniors who are graduating this year,” Caudle said on Wednesday. “So next year will be another challenge after losing nine like last year of trying to rebuild and trying to get a solid foundation for going forward.

Overall, I enjoyed the growth. I enjoyed seeing how much effort the girls were putting in and the buy into it.”

Caudle is a former standout for the Lady Cats who played under legendary head coach Ben Henry.
