Thanks for the final week of NFL byes, Week 14 marks a huge absence among fantasy football tight ends.

George Kittle headlines the fantasy TEs on a break in a crucial week that will determine many playoff spots. Hunter Henry and Theo Johnson's breathers also diminish the available player pool.

Luckily, many top tight ends remain near the apex of our player list thanks to favorable matchups, and several names with increasing roles bolster the bottom tiers of starter-worthy options in your regular league.

Week 14 fantasy TE injuries to watch

The Bills' Dalton Kincaid remains the biggest concern; he's now missed three straight games with a hamstring injury. Buffalo likely will not rush him back, given that they're seemingly comfortable distributing targets ad hoc to Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes, but as long as they're splitting targets nearly 50-50, neither is playable in fantasy.

Who are the best fantasy Week 14 tight ends?

Normal names who've ranked near the top most weeks, including Trey McBride, Tyler Warren, and Brock Bowers, continue to reside in must-start territory.

Bowers rattled off a 4-63-2 Week 13 against the Chargers. The Broncos' pass defense is one of the league's best, but Zach Ertz just ate them up on Sunday Night Football, and Bowers should find similar seams to avoid Patrick Surtain Jr.

McBride has succeeded regardless of quarterback this year, as his TD regression has been a warm welcome to those who plucked him early in drafts. The fourth-year veteran has averaged a whopping 23.2 PPR points per game since Jacoby Brissett took over QB duties from Kyler Murray in Week 6.

Which top fantasy TE sleepers should I target for Week 14?

Brenton Strange's wizardry has helped elevate Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence; the third-year snare has logged at least 4 targets in six of his seven games this year and has averaged a solid 13.9 PPR points per game in his two outings since activation from injured reserve (hip). The Colts' pass defense has taken a major hit with Sauce Gardner (calf) set to miss at least one game.

T.J. Hockenson finally got some attention from "deer in headlights" rookie Max Brosmer in Week 13, catching all 6 targets for 59 yards for his first double-digit PPR game since Week 7. Even if J.J. McCarthy (concussion) resurfaces Sunday, Hock could accidentally find running room against the woeful Commanders secondary who made Evan Engram look like Shannon Sharpe on Sunday Night Football.

Which fantasy Week 14 bust candidates should I worry about among tight ends?

The exciting but frustrating pair of tight ends for the Ravens (Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely) and Browns (Harold Fannin Jr., David Njoku) remain a week-to-week conundrum.

While their statistical matchup will draw plenty of interest, their weekly target distributions leave plenty of room to break into fantasy lineups given all the clear No. 1's who dominate their team's positional workload. If you're desperate for a deep-league flex spot or a TE Bonus league, obviously they make sense, but recognize their floors can be subterranean; if you have a choice, can you afford to dig a deeper hole in the must-win weeks ahead?
