NEW YORK —The weather forecast for Wednesday night in the Bronx is a wet one.

Rain could interrupt or even postpone the middle game of the Yankees-Rangers’ three-game set at Yankee Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The pitching matchup is Yankees right-hander Will Warren (4-0, 2.39) vs. Rangers righty Nathan Eovaldi (3-4, 4.76).

If the game is rained out, it’s likely a doubleheader will be scheduled for Thursday because the Rangers aren’t scheduled to return to New York this season (for the Yankees or Mets).

For now, a 12:35 p.m., series finale is scheduled for Thursday.

With a very light rain falling Wednesday afternoon, the tarp was rolled over the infield at 3:45 p.m.

Here is weather.com’s hour by hour forecast for Wednesday night:

7 p.m. Few showers, 67 percent.

8 p.m. Rain, 65 percent.

9 p.m.: Light rain, 64 percent.

10 p.m.: Cloudy
