UPDATE: The Yankees’ game against the Pirates on Tuesday night was postponed because of inclement weather. It will be made up as a split-admission doubleheader on Wednesday. Game 1 is 1:35 p.m. and Game 2 will be at 7:05.

NEW YORK — The Yankees might be forced to play another doubleheader this week after having one Sunday due to a Saturday rainout at Yankee Stadium.


Tuesday night’s Yankees-Pirates game could be in jeopardy due to heavy rain in the forecast for the Bronx.


First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and rain is expected to start around 6 p.m. and now stop until after 11 p.m.


Right-hander Will Warren (7-4, 4.03) is the Yankees’ scheduled starter while Bubba Chandler (3-8, 4.77) is slated to go for the Bucs.


If the game is rained out, the Yankees and Pirates will play a doubleheader on Wednesday. This is Pittsburgh’s only visit to the Bronx this season.


The Yankees’ won the opener of a three-game series Monday night 8-5.

7 p.m.: Thunderstorms, 88 percent.


8 p.m.: Thunderstorms, 91 percent.
