The North Carolina Tar Heels' baseball program is back in Omaha. After a walk-off comeback win over USC in game three of the Chapel Hill Super Regional last week, the Diamond Heels are back in Omaha for the College World Series for the second time in three years.
And this time they are among the favorites there.
North Carolina will open up their 2026 College World Series against Ole Miss on Friday night as bracket play officially begins. They will have the primetime slot with the winner moving to the winner's bracket on Sunday night.
UNC will look to get off to a good start here backed by their pitching staff and a lineup that can do some damage as we've seen. For the Rebels, they are no slouch. They are playing some really good baseball after winning a super regional last weekend as well. The Rebels have a good lineup and it should be a good test for the UNC pitching staff.
With game one set to begin at 7 pm ET, make sure to follow along below with our live blog, score updates, highlights and more.
