UFC Fight Night 269 video: Elijah Smith first to submit SuYoung You

Elijah Smith showed more great promise as a bantamweight prospect at UFC Fight Night 269 when he caught SuYoung You slipping and forced him to tap out.

After You (16-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) started the fight with a relentless grappling pace in the first, Smith (10-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) made the most of a knockout and grappling sequence when he locked in a rear-naked choke that led to the submission finish at the X mark of Round 2 on Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Smith, 23, is one of three second-generation UFC fighters after his father Gilbert previously graced the octagon. He's had high expectations placed on him from the outset, and thus far he is delivering.
