Noah Gugnon deflated the Serbian crowd to open the UFC Fight Night 283 main card when quickly dispatched of Milos Janicic.
The battle of lightweight newcomers on Saturday at Belgrade Arena saw Gugnon (10-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) land an early leg kick that busted the wheel of Janicic (19-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and put him on wobbly ground. He then took top position, moved to the back and locked in the rear-naked choke for the tap at the X mark of Round 1.

As Gugnon, 25, was showered by boos after taking out the local favorite, he relished in the hate and said this is just the beginning of what he plans to under the UFC banner.
"What's up Belgrade? I shock you all," Gugnon said in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. "I know I have better grappling, I know I can knock out him, submit him and make what I want from him. I want to stay active with the UFC. I want to fight as fast as possible, quit my job and make my money with UFC and have a good life."
