ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel ranked the UCLA Bruins’ baseball team as the squad in the 2026 NCAA Regionals with the most future draft picks.
The Bruins obviously have a leg up on other teams with projected No. 1 overall pick Roch Cholowsky, but have plenty of other talents in their ranks as well. McDaniel projects right-hander Logan Reddemann (2026) and right-hander Angel Cervantes (2028) will also go in the first two rounds of the MLB Draft when they go.
Additionally, McDaniel lists Bruins Easton Hawk, Will Gasparino, Roman Martin, Mulivai Levu, Wylan Moss, Cal Randall and Zach Strickland as players who will fall somewhere between rounds 3 and 5 when they enter the draft.
“Cholowsky is the leading candidate to go No. 1 overall in the 2026 draft and is narrowly the top prospect in all of amateur baseball — ranking somewhere inside of the top 20 prospects in pro baseball once he signs — so he’s doing some real heavy lifting here,” McDaniel wrote.
“Reddemann could return during the postseason but has been out with arm fatigue; he should still go in the first round regardless of the outcome, with top-15 upside if fully healthy. Cervantes went unsigned as a second-rounder out of high school last year. There are a couple of players in the second group who could sneak into the back half of the second round (i.e. better than the average player you’ll see listed in this tier) but fit mostly in the third to fifth rounds.”

The Bruins’ plethora of talent has shown throughout their season, as they are the only team in the NCAA to record 50 or more wins on the season (51-6). They stormed their way through the Big Ten tournament and won their first ever tournament title in dramatic fashion against Oregon, and will turn their sights towards the NCAA Regionals, which begin Friday.
UCLA will play in a four-team, double-elimination tournament in an attempt to qualify for the Super Regionals and—eventually—the College World Series. Their first game of the NCAA Regionals comes Friday at 12:00 p.m. PT against Saint Mary’s.
