And Jonah was such a great pickup in FAIf they are going to draft him it will be as a plug and play RT
If the coaching staff doesn't feel that he's capable of that then they have to move on and draft someone else

Simpson.Well what is more likely...
Simpson gets remarkably stronger with his throws despite being 23 and undersized or Allar and all his physical tools get unlocked by a good coach?
I don’t think they are anything like. You just see white Alabama QBs.and Ty Simpson is shorter Aj McCarron. Don't pay up for crazy risk
Really awful argument. The actual argument against Allar is that Franklin broke him beyond repair, which is possible. Trying to claim he doesn't have the football IQ when nobody can know at this point is legitimately illegitimateSimpson.
Allar legitimately regressed every single year in college since he was the starter. I don’t give a damn about the physical tools if the football IQ isn’t there & his is not even close to being there.
FTFYThis class isn’t worth entertaining after Mendozaand Simpson, tbh.
I don’t think Nussmeier is all that, but I would rather take a risk on him than Allar.
Yes, I’m sure that it was James Franklin that told him to make the most ill-advised throws the last two seasons.Really awful argument. He didn’t lie at all.FTFY
Talk about biases. If his name was Ty Simpson, you'd be his biggest backer. You know, the guy that won nothing and only started 15 games? Whose biggest resume point is his dad's job? You're calling for him to be drafted in the 1st. I'm only advocating taking Allar as a project later in the draft. But go on with your absolutes.Yes, I’m sure that it was James Franklin that told him to make the most ill-advised throws the last two seasons.
If he went to Pitt, you would not be defending a clearly bad player.
If Ty Simpson played at Penn State with the same exact film he had, I would be backing him.Talk about biases. If his name was Ty Simpson, you'd be his biggest backer. With how much film? Four good games? Five? Fifteen total played? I respect you because, like I've done with players in the past, you're certainly putting yourself out there on a limb. Setting yourself up for huge kudos or major nose rubbing. If Ty Simpson played at Penn State with the same exact film he had, I would be backing him.
If Drew Allar played anywhere else that’s NOT Penn State, you would not be backing him in any round of the draft.
Disagree. I think a 2nd round pick is appropriate risk for his resume. My point is that even a 2nd is too much risk for Simpson.
This was the Kyler argument and he went 1 overall.Correct now add on the risk of a 1 year starter.
He has no business going in round 1 or 2. Even 3 is a big risk
Considering prior Alabama QBs were under a different HC and offense, I don't understand how that is relevant.Okay @Goldfield explain why you think an old short 1 year starter who is not athletically gifted and is also inaccurate deep is worth a round 1 or 2 pick.
ESPECIALLY wnen you consider the history of Alabama QBs. Sell me on this

At least Simpson doesn't have athleticism to lose or cover his wartsKyler had elite athleticism to overcome his size until he didn't and then he was gone
How many QBs can you name that started just a single season of college football and are 6'1 or shorter and made a pro bowl?
I can only think of 2. Brock Purdy and Kyler Murray.
I think this is fair, but I am willing to use a 2nd on a QB at a major program who has put on tape like Simpson has. There is obviously no guarantee, but as we have seen, there is nothing guaranteed for any second round pick. I am more willing to take risks when it comes to acquiring QBs.How many QBs can you name that started just a single season of college football and are 6'1 or shorter and made a pro bowl?

Ooops. Just saw the 6'1" note so you can ignore these two as they were taller.Kurt Warner? Cam Newton?
Because teams will take risks and pick poorly. Doesn't mean he should have been taken 1 overall. This was the Kyler argument and he went 1 overall.
