I think it tailed off the last two episodes, but I was riveted through the first three episodes and was pretty impressed throughout. Ultimately, I agree though. A really, really good show, but not the best I've ever seen.

I will say this, Rust was one of my favorite characters of all time. I enjoyed the show MUCH more for te relationship story between woody and Mconagehy then I did the "mystery".

I think the big hole in the show was that they could have done much, much more with the story itself.

It was a pretty good season, seems like they tried to tie everything up to quickly at the end but like cheese said the friendship between the two was as good as the plot.

I thought I was watching that show LOST there for a minute, almost turned it off. Those special effects had no place in that scene.

GREAT show. Loved it.

Still though, it's not The Wire.

I enjoyed it much like I enjoy Hannibal, Justified, Americans, etc.... Great world building. Great cinematography. Awesome main charachters. A bit up and down from a tension and story standpoint.

I will still go back and watch the last 15 minutes of episdoe 4 over and over. That tracking shot was amazing.

Rewatching this before I get into season 4 (I know it is an anthology and it doesn't connect but... whatever).

Season 1 is the greatest one off show I've ever seen. Absolutely incredible. Even better when you understand the characters. The "slow burn" doesn't feel like a slow burn at all.

I enjoyed season 4 but it was not as good as season 1. I felt they tied it all up pretty well at the end.

This show is BREATHTAKING. I identify with McConaghey's character more than anyone I can ever recall on a TV show, and the writing is poetic and cruel. Camerawork is beautiful, and the pacing is like swimming through tar in a nightmare.
Do you know whether you're an INFJ on the Myers-Briggs personality type?

I'm an INFJ, and while searching for INFJ characters I stumbled upon this one. I started watching the show, and holy crow, McConaughey is spot on! There are soooo many times during an episode where I say, yep, that's an INFJ lol.

I'm not sure if I've seen a better representation of an INFJ. It's the rarest of the 16 personality types and he completely nailed it. He's got that Thomas Jefferson attitude, who was an INFJ, of doing what he thinks is the right thing even if it breaks every law on the books lol.

I just watched episodes 4 and 5. Incredible tv.

I have tried to explain to many people one of lifes most simple truths...
there is whats right
and there is whats legal
and they are not always the same thing.

But a good man does whats right...and does not let the law get in the way of that.

Haha...you sound like me talking to my family!

I'm all for laws for society, but when the time comes, I'm not consulting a list of laws for what needs to be done.

My family knows that they'll be avenged if the time comes. The wife does not agree, but that's ok lol. She'll be avenged anyway.

My kids seem to understand haha.
