Tracking South Carolina baseball players, signees picked in 2026 MLB Draft

There's been a lot of changes for South Carolina baseball since the season ended but now the focus is on the 2026 MLB Draft, as the Gamecocks are hoping to see some of their players taken.

Midway through the season, the school parted ways with Paul Mainieri and interim coach Monte Lee took over but was then fired in mid May, as South Carolina officially began its coaching search.

Kevin Schnall was hired out of Coastal Carolina in June and proceeded to bring in 25 new players via the transfer portal, eight of whom followed him from Coastal.

The Gamecocks are coming off one of the worst seasons in program history as they finished 22-25 and 7-23 in SEC play.

When is the 2026 MLB Draft?​

The MLB draft begins July 11 (1 p.m., NBC) with rounds 1-4 before rounds 5-20 on July 12 (11:30 a.m., MLB.com).
