Imagine you’re drafting tomorrow in a 12-team PPR league. Who would be the top three bust candidates to fade in the second round? The following is based on current average draft positions (ADPs).
Can De’Von Achane keep crushing it? His overall-13 ADP suggests “yes,” as does his impressive 20.2 points per game last season. But his 2026 outlook is more cloudy. The Dolphins’ passing attack could be an absolute mess. They’ve put a lot of their faith in a mostly untested quarterback, several rookie wideouts, and a bunch of receiver reclamation projects. This team is going nowhere this year, and they have no incentive to run Achane into the ground after signing him to a new four-year deal.
Saquon Barkley (overall-14 ADP) also brings yellow flags. Last summer, I repeatedly warned readers and podcast listeners about why he was a clear bust of a candidate. Although he’s moderately safer heading into this season, it’s all relative. He’ll turn 30 during the playoffs and racked up 346 touches last year. It’s a concerning combination.
Finally, why does Nico Collins have an overall-23 ADP? No doubt, he’s a reliable fantasy option as Houston’s #1 wideout. But at 27 years old, he’s probably no longer ascending. 2025 second-rounder Jayden Higgins is. So is 2025 third-rounder Jaylin Noel. Anything they get from Tank Dell will be gravy. Collins simply doesn’t have the mammoth ceiling that managers deserve at that price point.
