Play 5: Missouri Southern’s Ashlyn Alloway (Shifty post move)
In a matchup against Missouri Western, Missouri Southern Women’s Basketball standout Ashlyn Alloway put together a nifty post move to create space and score a bucket down low. Alloway had 14 points and 8 rebounds against the Griffons.
Play 4: Carthage’s Jonah Barrett (Six made three-pointers vs. Webb City)
Carthage Boys Basketball ended up falling in a close one against Webb City, but Jonah Barrett put up a fight with a team-high 20 points including six made three-pointers.
Play 3: Crowder Softball (Eight-run inning against Rose State)
Picking up right where they left off following a regional championship last season, the Crowder Roughriders managed to score eight runs in a single frame against Rose State. Madelief Croonen capped off the stellar frame with a three-run home run.
Play 2: Pitt State’s Dagen Brewer (Two-run home run off the scoreboard)
The preseason All-American Dagen Brewer has been a vital part to Pittsburg State Baseball’s 10-0 start to the season. In the first home series of the season against Maryville, Brewer cranked a two-run home run out to left field off the scoreboard to highlight an eight-run inning for the Gorillas.
Play 1: Webb City’s Trae Turner (Block versus Carthage)
In a matchup against Carthage, Webb City Boys Basketball’s Trae Turner made a stellar play on defense, leaping up and swatting the Tigers’ shot attempt for a block.
