Bullpen for mop up duty only. When you are a starter in MLB with a 6+ ERA, you are not a MLB starter - except of course on Torey's Dbacks - where loyalty to cagey veterans trumps winning games.

Gallen threw 5 scoreless innings after a rough 1st. Only 3 hits allowed since the opening frame, all singles.

His ERA decreased from 6.36 to 6.34.

Best we can hope for is he builds on his post 1st inning performance from last night. Unfortunately even after the first he still seemed a little wobbly to me.

His next three starts before the deadline should be the Dodgers, Athletics and Pirates.
