SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) – Here is a look at this week’s best plays from around Siouxland!
5. We head to Sioux City East for some baseball. East leads 2-0 in the bottom of the first, and Kal Chamberlain, in his first at bat as a Black Raider, takes the ball for a ride! Three-run blast makes it 5-0!
4. Number four. We head to the South Dakota track showcase boys 100m dash final heat, going stride for stride, a near-photo finish ends in favor of Dakota Valley’s Jackson Shoulders with a time of 11.11 seconds, beating second place by three hundredths of a second.
3. Number three, East vs West boys soccer. Wolverine goalie Jordan Grajeda steps up for the save and misses, but gets physical and uses his body to make sure it doesn’t go in!
2. Number two, same game, different story. Here comes Werlin Chaj Garcia flying over and through defenders until centering it to Yovani Morales for the first score of the game!
1. Our top play of the week belongs to Heelan baseball. Brody Schoenherr fields the bunt and throws to first for the out. Great heads up play by Aiden LaFavor, who tosses it across the diamond, and the pitcher, Kaleb LaFavor, lays the tag.
